NASQN's Leadership Expands

Introducing NASQN’s New Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Nia Flowers, MS, BCBA, LBA
We are thrilled to welcome Nia Flowers, MS, BCBA, LBA as NASQN’s first-ever Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). With more than a decade of experience in behavior analysis and a career-long commitment to inclusive excellence, Nia brings the leadership, insight, and heart needed to help NASQN build a more equitable future for the ABA field.
Nia has consistently led from the front. From co-founding the DEI Workgroup at Hopebridge to her service on esteemed boards such as the Advisory Board of the Women in Leadership Certificate Program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, her career reflects a deep dedication to advancing systems that are not only effective but fair, inclusive, and empowering.
At NASQN, Nia joins the Executive Board alongside the CEO, COO, and Treasurer, where she will play a key role in advancing NASQN’s mission and Action Plan for American ABA. She’ll be contributing to strategic decision-making, shaping high-level policies, and ensuring that DEI principles are embedded in everything we do—from leadership training and research advocacy to professional development, community engagement, and access to services.
Her priorities will include:
Supporting the development and execution of NASQN’s most vital initiatives
Modeling and reinforcing inclusive membership and engagement practices
Advising the creation of equity-centered policies
Leading DEI education and training efforts for members and staff
Helping NASQN ensure equitable access to its services, programs, and leadership pathways
Supporting DEI-informed research and advocacy across all five pillars of the Action Plan
Establishing metrics and tracking systems to monitor the impact of our DEI efforts
In addition to her board role, Nia will continue serving as a Subject Matter Expert at the ABA Quality Help Desk, where her clinical expertise and commitment to excellence continue to shape the way behavior analysts approach quality assurance with cultural humility and accountability.
Please join us in celebrating this exciting milestone for NASQN and in welcoming Nia Flowers to this pivotal leadership role. Her vision, voice, and values will help guide us toward a more equitable and excellent ABA industry—one where every provider and every client has access to the highest quality care.
Welcome, Nia! We’re honored to have you with us.
